Tentative Itinerary:

Mon. July 7th (Located behind Ford Park Arena in the indoor exhibit hall next door to the baseball facility)

1:00 - 3:30 PM          

** ALL KIDS SHOULD BE IN FULL UNIFORM FOR CHECK-IN **

TEAM CHECK-IN TIMES

Team check in ( All teams must check in between these times.  All kids need to be present here.  All teams need to have rosters, and a copy of each players Birth Certificates.)

1:00 - 3:30 PM

This will also be a time for pin trading.  (What happens here is each kid brings his own towel, or towel that team Mom provides for the kids with team name on it with.  On this towel, the kids will have pins that represent his team, or city he is from, or pins that are just simply cool.  He is then going to trade those pins with kids from other teams pins, therefore making a cool and different towel.  The more pins, the better.  The kids will be able to trade the pins throughout the week also.)

3:30 - 5:30 PM          

Introduction of Teams, and Team Pictures

7:00 PM

Mandatory Coaches Meeting at the Holiday Inn Hotel.  (Every team must have at least one coach in attendance at this meeting)

Tues.  July 8th          

Games Start

Wed.  July 9th          

4:00 - 6:30 PM

Pizza / Homerun Hitting contest/ Fastest Baserunning team/ Fastest Team around the Horn

Thurs. July 10th

Resume Tournament

July 11th  World play continues.

July 12th  World Series play continues.

July 13th  World Series play concludes.

These tournament rules for the USSSA U11 & U12 "AA World Series can be found in the 2008 USSSA National Rule Book and By-laws.

There are no protests regarding player eligibility.  All team rosters are verified by the respective state director before being entered into and sent to the World Series tournament director.  Player birth certificates are verified at check-in.   Players can not turn 12 yr. old before May 1, 2008 to be age eligible for this 11U tournament, and they can’t turn 13 for the 12U tournament.

Managers and coaches must wear a baseball cap with team insignia and be properly dressed (coaches shorts are allowable).

Rules of Conduct

It is the purpose of the United States Specialty Sports Association to conduct the best possible tournaments from all aspects.  To achieve this objective the USSSA must have the cooperation of each player, manager, coach and sponsor.

We are guests in the city that the tournament is conducted and nothing should occur that would reflect adversely on your team, players, our host city, or the United States Specialty Sports Association.  Therefore, it is required that all teams in the tournament comply with the following rules:

1.  Team managers must have full control of their players at all times.  This means "on" and "off" the field, course, or court.

2.  In case of disputed play or decision, team managers or captains may consult the game officials.  The other players and coaches or sponsors are to be kept out of the discussion.

3.  Managers, coaches and players are not to fraternize with spectators while participating in an event.  At no time will nay participants be allowed to smoke while participating in any USSSA event.

4.  At no time will participants be allowed to drink or have in their possession any alcoholic beverage while participating in any USSSA event.

5.  Managers are to report any unsportsmanlike or derogatory acts by players or spectators to the tournament director.  The purpose here is to prevent any serious situation developing that would be harmful to the tournament.

6.  Managers, coaches, players, sponsors and teams are liable for suspension by not adhering to the tournament rules in effect.  This could mean suspension for a game, games, tournament or a longer duration depending on the act of violation.

7.  A player, coach, manager or sponsor may be suspended for fighting, abusive tactics or unbecoming acts that are detrimental and not in the best interest of the United States Specialty Sports Association and tournament play.

8.  Be careful of your conduct.  Be sure that no action occurs that could reflect adversely on your sponsor, team or division.   Remember that the wrong actions of even one player can reflect upon your entire team and various sporting programs.

9.  Any report by the hotel management, where any team competing in USSSA championship play is staying, of destruction of property or abuse of hotel property will be dealt with very sternly.  Team managers and sponsors will not be warned other than through this notice.  Failure to pay hotel bills can result in team disbarment from future USSSA play.  Any teams submitting bad checks to the USSSA will be subject to disbarment.
