USSSA Baseball 11U & 12U "AA" World Series (PAGE 1)

Congratulations on an outstanding season and welcome to the 2008 USSSA Baseball 11U and 12U "AA" World Series.  The "AA" tournament will be played at the Southeast Texas Baseball Academy, in Beaumont, Texas.  The date of the tournament is July 7 - 13, 2008.  There will be team check-in, managers reception, and an opening ceremony on July 7^th. All activities will be in the Ford Park indoor exhibit arena (next door to the baseball fields).  We will have contests for the the kids as well as an opportunity for teams to exchange pins or other items from their area.  Monday night at 7:00 at the Holiday Inn Atrium Plaza hotel is a mandatory coaches meeting.

The USSSA Baseball program will use the "Pool-Play" format in its World Series.  Teams will be placed in pools where they will play a round robin within their pool.  A double elimination format will be sued in the championship bracket following pool play.  A single elimination consolation tournament will be held for the teams which do not qualify for the championship bracket.  The exact format of the tournament, i.e., number of pools, number of teams in each pool, etc., will be set by the tournament director following USSSA baseball guidelines as approved by the USSSA Baseball National Committee.

Your team's USSSA World Series entry form and cashier's check or money order for the entry fee MUST BE RECEIVED BY YOUR STATE DIRECTOR BY JUNE 27, 2008 to guarantee your spot in the tournament.  Your entry fee, in the amount of $495.00 should be made payable to: USSSA Baseball.  For a listing of state directors, their addresses, e-mail, phone numbers, etc., go to http://www.usssa.com/sports/DirectorInfo.asp and click on State Directors on the home page.  Teams must go through their state directors and may not directly enter a World Series Tournament.

The roster we receive must be signed by your state director.  This roster must be the one that was submitted to your state and/or area director when your team qualified for this tournament.  Failure to comply with this rule will result in your team's suspension from participation in this tournament!   Players will be individually checked in at the tournament with proper ID or birth certificates in hand.

All players participating in USSSA Baseball tournament play shall have photocopies of their original birth certificates in the possession of their team manager.  Failure to have a copy of the birth certificate available upon demand will result in the offending team losing the game, being ejected from the tournament, being placed last in the standings and forfeiting all awards, sponsors travel money and tournament berths that would have been awarded at the tournament.
